The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is a specialized, single-use accessory designed to enhance the effectiveness of laser tattoo removal procedures. It is specifically indicated for use with Q-Switched lasers operating at wavelengths of 532, 694, 755, and 1064 nm, as well as picosecond lasers at 532, 755, 785, and 1064 nm, particularly in patients with Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-III.
Utilizing the DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is contraindicated for patients exhibiting dermatological conditions that compromise skin integrity. It is also not recommended for application on open wounds. Proper application involves ensuring the treatment area is clean and dry, confirming the presence of liquid perfluorodecalin within the pouch, and using pre-wetted swabs to prepare the skin.
The patch allows for direct laser treatment through its transparent surface without necessitating changes to laser settings, thus maintaining optimal fluence levels. For safety, it is essential to adhere to recommended usage limits, discarding each patch after a single use to prevent cross-contamination.
